Despotiko island restorations have been completed for the summer

The restoration works at the Mantra sanctuary on the uninhabited Despotiko island have been completed for the summer of 2017.

The restoration team succeeded in restoring two more columns from the colonnade of the ancient temple in the original position.  Another column of the restaurant was completed last November.

The monument has acquired its third dimension and is fully understood by the public. The project at Despotiko is funded almost entirely by private sponsorships (Athanasios Martinos, AEGEAS AMKE, P&A Kanellopoulou Foundation, Leventis Foundation, Latsis Foundation, Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy, Antiparos Municipality)
