The Antiparos \u2013 Paros (Pounta or Punda) channel crossing swimming race, 2017 was\u00a0postponed due to high winds forecast. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The new date is July 13, 2017 at 18:30.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\n

The date of the Antiparos \u2013 Pounta channel crossing is on\u00a08.07.17<\/del>\u00a0and starts\u00a0<\/strong>at 18.30\u00a0from the pier of the ferry boat in\u00a0Punta (Paros)\u00a0and terminates at the port of Antiparos in front of the cafes.<\/p>\n

The distance is 1.453m.<\/p>\n

This year the athletes will be divided into two groups: the first group will have electronic timing (chip) with cost of\u00a010 euro\u00a0participation and optionally t-shirt at an additional\u00a05 euros\u00a0and in the 2nd group there will be no timing at a cost of 10 euros with t-shirt.<\/p>\n

Right to participate in the two groups will have ages 10-60 years old.<\/p>\n

The first group will not permitted to have life jackets, flippers, masks, snorkels and coils.Only goggles and caps are allowed.<\/p>\n

The second group will be open class and athletes can use swimming equipment.<\/p>\n

All athletes should fill the\u00a0participation \u2013\u00a0responsibility statement form (pdf attached).<\/p>\n

Registrations will be made daily in the\u00a0taverna Klimataria\u00a010:00-12:00 am and 18:00 to 20:00 pm, in\u00a0Summer Cinema\u00a0from 4\/7 18:00 till 24:00 all days.<\/p>\n

Entries in Paros will be from 3\/7 -6\/7\/2017, hours and place will be announced shortly.<\/p>\n

Online registrations will be made on the web site of www.antiparosnc.gr, through the\u00a0participation \u2013 responsibility statement\u00a0form located at the end of this page.<\/p>\n

The registrations for the first group with electronic timing (chip) will be made\u00a0until 06\/07\/17. Please fill the\u00a0participation \u2013 responsibility statement form (pdf attached).<\/p>\n

For the second group will be up to two hours before the race, in Punta 15:00-17:00 pm and in Antiparos from 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-17:00.<\/p>\n

The receipt of\u00a0electronic chips\u00a0in the first group will be held\u00a0only in Punta two hours before the race, at the time the payment is made.<\/p>\n

Commemorative medals will be given to all athletes. In the first group, cups will be awarded to the first 3 men, 3 women first, the smallest and the greatest athlete.<\/p>\n

For the second group, cups will be awarded to the first 3 athletes.<\/p>\n
