DESCRIPTION:The Antiparos – Paros (Pounta or Punda) channel crossing swimming race\, 2017 was postponed due to high winds forecast.  \nThe new date is July 13\, 2017 at 18:30. \n\nThe date of the Antiparos – Pounta channel crossing is on 8.07.17 and starts at 18.30 from the pier of the ferry boat in Punta (Paros) and terminates at the port of Antiparos in front of the cafes. \nThe distance is 1.453m. \nThis year the athletes will be divided into two groups: the first group will have electronic timing (chip) with cost of 10 euro participation and optionally t-shirt at an additional 5 euros and in the 2nd group there will be no timing at a cost of 10 euros with t-shirt. \nRight to participate in the two groups will have ages 10-60 years old. \nThe first group will not permitted to have life jackets\, flippers\, masks\, snorkels and coils.Only goggles and caps are allowed. \nThe second group will be open class and athletes can use swimming equipment. \nAll athletes should fill the participation – responsibility statement form (pdf attached). \n\n\n\n\nRegistrations will be made daily in the taverna Klimataria 10:00-12:00 am and 18:00 to 20:00 pm\, in Summer Cinema from 4/7 18:00 till 24:00 all days. \nEntries in Paros will be from 3/7 -6/7/2017\, hours and place will be announced shortly. \nOnline registrations will be made on the web site of www.antiparosnc.gr\, through the participation – responsibility statement form located at the end of this page. \nThe registrations for the first group with electronic timing (chip) will be made until 06/07/17. Please fill the participation – responsibility statement form (pdf attached). \nFor the second group will be up to two hours before the race\, in Punta 15:00-17:00 pm and in Antiparos from 10:00-13:00 and 15:00-17:00. \nThe receipt of electronic chips in the first group will be held only in Punta two hours before the race\, at the time the payment is made. \nCommemorative medals will be given to all athletes.
