On September 9, 2024, the Municipalities of Antiparos and Paros, with the support of the Friends of Paros and Antiparos, will be hosting an opera gala at the archaeological site of the Temple of Apollo at Despotiko. The aim is to raise public awareness about the significance of this site and give people the opportunity to take ownership of it.
Soprano Myrsini Margariti and pianist Dimitris Yakas will be performing classical repertoire and Greek music (see full program bellow). The concert will commence at 8 pm and is expected to last for an hour and a half.
Due to preservation reasons, only 300 attendees will be accommodated. Access to Despotiko will be from Agios Yorgos in Antiparos between 6:30 pm and 7:30 pm. The round-trip transportation cost is 10 euros per person. To attend the event, registration is mandatory by submitting the form below.
Upon registration, you will receive a personal confirmation, which must be presented before boarding the boats to Despotiko. This confirmation is essential for entry to the concert venue. Only the first 300 registrations will be accepted. Additionally, we encourage you to consider supporting the excavations at this site, as financial contributions are vital for the ongoing excavations of this historical treasure.
